I live in Perth, Western Australia, in the suburb of Carine, which is blessed with a huge nature reserve smack bang in the middle, complete with swamps and orginal bush, and surrounded by vast playing fields and walking tracks.

In my spare time I tend to work, mostly writing or researching, because I just enjoy it so much.  I avoid housework like the plague and instead spend as much time on the tennis court as my old bones allow.

I have a husband, John, 2 children and 2 step-children aged from 21 to 28, and an old dog called Tarzan who, while he looks in good shape, is actually arthritic, fairly blind, fairly deaf, and we suspect a little senile :-)  I also have a grandchild who is 5 1/2 months old as I write this, and just starting to sit up.
