"I live in Perth, Western Australia, in the suburb of Carine, which is blessed with a huge nature reserve smack bang in the middle, complete with swamps and original bush, and surrounded by vast playing fields and walking tracks. In my spare time I tend to work, mostly writing or researching, because I just enjoy it so much. I avoid housework like the plague and instead spend as much time on the tennis court as my old bones allow. I have a husband, John, 2 children and 2 step-children aged from 21 to 28, and an old dog called Tarzan who, while he looks in good shape, is actually arthritic, fairly blind, fairly deaf, and we suspect a little senile :-) I also have a grandchild who is 5 1/2 months old as I write this, and just starting to sit up." *** July 2010 ...
That was me 3 years ago when I first set up this site as a support site for network marketers, whom I realised were doing it very, very tough. Then Nu Skin came along and their people were certainly not doing it tough! I was so impressed by the company and the technology that I retired from my consultancy and became a happy Nu Skin distributor instead. In productive time I am on the phone talking with new people for my own front line and for new distributors, or I am in front of people presenting the products or opportunity. In my spare time I'm often right here on this site, working with my team mates to reach the goals we've set for ourselves. Otherwise I'm still playing tennis! And I'm still addicted to sci fi.
Old Tarzan died last year at 17 1/2 years of age so the house is pretty quiet these days, although it still feels a bit strange not having to step over him at the bottom of the staircase to my office! One interesting thing that has happened recently is that my daughter, who is general manager of a professional wrestling business in Adelaide, has been invited to wrestle in Macau. Part of me is horrified, and part of me is excited at the adventure ahead and the stories she'll be able to tell when she's older. Thrillseeking seems to run in the family: decades ago my dear old Great Aunt Daphne was a leather-clad bike rider in the "Wheel of Death". Whatever any of us do, I think Daph will hold the trump card with that one :-)
